Death Stranding 2: On the Beach

Finished Death Stranding 2 today.
DS1 became one of my favorite games of all time. From it's setting, gameplay or the music ( especially the music ) everything clicked.
I played Death Stranding during covid time itself, which was definitely a weird for such a game.
Death Stranding 2 felt much more intense. Not in terms of gameplay, but in it's story. I like the general gameplay loop, but it felt much more simplistic, and easier to cheat. There's nothing wrong with driving a vehicle, but it does take way from the sense of accomplishment.
I don't understand the lore. What are BBs, EEs, the stranding etc etc. There is the corpus and vast amount of research and speculation on these things, but that's not what got me invested. I like the characters. Always want to hear them talk and have a conversation. Similar to Red Dead Redemption 2, I always hoped there are more cut scenes where I just enjoy the characters talking to each other.
The overall plot, or maybe one of the major plot points about having something like a collective mind using Chiral network, felt familiar. Or maybe I am more exposed to that kind of media and genres in general. But everything around that plot, seeing the characters and their relationship and scale of the cutscenes and sequences made it very nice.
It's a very rare game. Games of this budget and this focused on it's story and ideas is a unique experience. I only have a few developers in mind who can manage that. I would recommend this game to everyone.
